Privacy Policy

Every AI Companion ("the App") is operated by RUBYNAV INC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the App and to everystudio.app.
1. Who can use the App
The App is only for adults 18 and older. We check age when you sign up and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor is using the App, contact us and we will delete the account.
2. What we collect
- Account: email address, display name, pronouns, birth year and an age-verified flag. We do not store your full date of birth.
- Conversations and memories: your messages and the things companions remember are stored on your device. To generate replies, the messages you send pass through our servers to our AI providers. We do not keep the text of your conversations on our servers. We only keep usage records such as time, model and length.
- Content you upload: photos, documents and notes you add to create or teach a companion. Photos you use with Style Studio are stored in your private cloud storage so the character keeps a consistent look. Uploaded photos are automatically screened for safety.
- Generated media: photos and videos you ask for, stored in your private cloud storage.
- Voice: speech-to-text runs on your device. Companion replies may be turned into audio by our voice provider. We do not record or store your voice.
- Purchases: Apple handles payment. We receive transaction identifiers so we can deliver diamonds, add-ons and memberships. We never see your card details.
- Device and technical data: push-notification token, time zone, app version, IP address (used for security and abuse prevention) and basic diagnostics.
- Support: whatever you send us when you contact support or report content.
3. Sensitive information
In conversation you may choose to share things like your health, sexuality, beliefs or relationships. By sharing them you agree that we can process them to give you the service. We use them for nothing else and you can delete them any time. We do not build face templates or biometric identifiers from photos. Photos are only used to render images you ask for and to screen for safety.
4. Information about other people
If you create a companion based on, or upload memories about, a real person, you must have the right to share that information. Please don't upload private details about people who haven't agreed. A person who believes their information was uploaded without permission can ask us to remove it at tech@everystudio.app.

We do not sell or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use third-party ad trackers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
6. AI providers and other service providers
We share data only as needed to run the App, with: Anthropic (AI conversation and safety screening), xAI and OpenRouter (voice, image and video generation), Supabase (accounts, database and storage), Railway (servers), Resend (sign-in emails), Cloudflare (security and networking) and Apple (payments and notifications). They process data for us under contract. We send AI providers only what a request needs, and we pick providers whose API terms limit how they may use that data. We do not use your conversations to train our own models.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If that happens, this policy will continue to protect your data.
7. How long we keep data
- Conversations and memories: on your device until you delete them, the companion, or the App.
- Account, uploads and generated media: until you delete them or your account.
- Usage and security logs: up to 12 months.
- Content reports and moderation records: up to 2 years, to keep the service safe.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually 7 years.
- Inactive accounts: if you don't sign in for 24 months, we may delete the account and its cloud media after emailing you first.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the App at any time: You › Danger zone › Delete account. This permanently removes your account, cloud data and generated media. Purchase records are kept only where the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download (portability), delete, or restrict our use of your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
US residents (including California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws) can make these requests, appeal a decision we make about one, and use an authorised agent. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
EEA/UK residents can also complain to their local data protection authority.
Email tech@everystudio.app. We reply within 30 days, or 45 days where the law allows. We may need to confirm your identity first.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the US and other countries. Where the law requires, we use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest in our cloud database and storage. Access is limited to each account and to authorised staff. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique email and keep your device locked. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
12. Cookies
The App does not use advertising cookies or trackers. Our websites use only the essential cookies and storage needed to work. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals differently, because we don't track you across sites.
13. AI disclosure
Companions are AI characters. They are fictional adults, not real people, and they do not have feelings. Their replies are generated for entertainment and companionship and are not professional advice.
